About Us

Power Electronics Australia Pty Ltd was founded in 2007, after four years selling via distributors. The sole objective is to provide specialist marketing, sales and support of world leading AC motor control technology.

With consideration given to the unique requirements of Australian industry, Power Electronics has developed technically advanced variable speed drives and soft starters that have proven to be reliable in the most harsh of industrial environments.

Power Electronics is committed to the philosophy of service and attention to customers' requirements.

Our experience in this specialised industry sector has come from careers working for International manufacturers of variable speed drives and soft starters.

Our management team

David O'Donoghue, Managing Director, spent 13 years as the general manager of PDL Electronics Ltd and was instrumental in seeing the company achieve significant growth, particularly in the export area. David was also responsible for overseeing the company exploration and development of leading edge new products.

Mark Duncan, Sales and Marketing Director, held sales and management roles for more than five years with PDL Electronics Ltd, servicing both the domestic and Pacific Region markets. This expertise is supported by a solid background in the industrial electrical field.

Brent Sheridan, Technical Director, brings a diverse background of knowledge acquired in motor control applications and industrial automation. After seven years operating in domestic sales , recent years saw Brent expand into an international sales position for both PDL Electronics Ltd and AuCom Electronics Ltd.

Paul Faulkner Technical Manager, formerly with WEG. Paul brings many years of technical expertise to the role. Paul is well known throughout the industry and has a very practical approach to supporting our drive customers throughout Australia

Nick Hughes, Business Development Manager has many years of technical sales experience in the AC motor control field backed up with broad industry experience gained from selling pumping equipment into the Australian market. Nick brings practical electrical knowledge founded on his qualification as an industrial electrician.

Spanish International Head Office & Manufacturing Plant

Power Electronics is the main Spanish manufacturer of Softstarters and Variable Speed Drives.

Our experience in developing and manufacturing these products has allowed us to create recently our SOLAR INVERTER range, where the customer will find the most reliable, robust and efficient product of the market.
